Ingredients
- 1 Cup quick or old-fashioned oats, uncooked
- 1/2 Cup shredded coconut
- 1/4 Cup wheat germ
- 1/4 Cup sunflower kernels
- 2 Tablespoons slivered almonds
- 1/4 Cup butter or margarine
- 2 Tablespoons honey
- 1 Cup California raisins
Procedure
In a large bowl, combine oats, coconut, wheat germ, sunflower kernels and slivered almonds. In a small saucepan, melt together butter and honey; pour over the dry ingredients, mixing well. Spread a greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch jelly roll pan. Bake at 300°F for 30 minutes or until golden brown, stirring several times. Remove from oven and add raisins while still hot. Cool. Store in tightly covered container in refrigerator.
