Curried Popcorn Mix
Crunchy pretzel sticks, walnuts and golden California raisins make the ultimate mix…
- Serving Size: 2/3 cup
- 6 cups unseasoned popped corn
- 2 cups pretzel sticks
- 1 1/2 cups walnut pieces
- 1/4 cup melted unsalted butter or margarine
- 2 teaspoons curry powder
- 1/4 teaspoon bottled hot pepper sauce
- Salt; to taste
- 1 1/2 cups California golden raisins
In large, deep baking or roasting pan combine corn, walnuts and pretzels. Mix butter, curry powder and pepper sauce; drizzle over popcorn mixture and toss to coat evenly. Bake in 300°F oven 30 minutes, tossing twice. Remove from oven. Sprinkle with salt. Cool completely. Store in airtight container. Mix in raisins just before serving.
For Diabetes-Friendly option: decrease serving size from 2/3 cup to 1/3 cup, which is a handful.
