Ingredients

  • 3 Cups cored, peeled and finely chopped apples
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Cup half-and-half
  • 3/4 Cup sugar
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 Teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 Cup California raisins
  • One unbaked 9-inch pie shell

Procedure

Prepare apples and sprinkle with lemon juice; set aside. In small bowl, beat eggs; stir in half-and-half, sugar, butter, cinnamon, apples and raisins. Turn into pastry-lined pie tin. Bake at 450°F 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 325°F and bake about 30 minutes longer or until the filling is firm.
