Ingredients

  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 Cup honey
  • 1 Teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 Pound wheat bread or pizza dough
  • 1 Cup all-purpose flour
  • 11/2 Cups California raisins
  • Butter-flavor cooking spray
  • 3/4 Cup powdered sugar
  • 21/2 Teaspoons water

Procedure

In a large bowl, stir egg, honey and cinnamon together. Add dough and mix by hand or with paddle attachment on electric mixer until ingredients are well blended. Mix in flour 1/2 cup at a time till soft dough forms. Turn onto a lightly floured board; knead in raisins and continue to knead till soft dough. Flatten and press into an 8×12-inch rectangle on parchment-lined baking sheet. With a sharp knife, cut 3×4 into 12 equal pieces. Do not separate and spray with cooking spray. Cover with towel and place in warm place to rise for 1 to 1-1/2 hours or until dough has doubled.

Preheat oven to 375°F; bake for 20 minutes until done. Stir powdered sugar and water together until smooth; drizzle over warm buns.
