Caramelized Port Wine Raisins
A sweet and savory raisin wine sauce to serve with fish.
- Serving Size: 2 tablespoons
- 1 1/2 cups California golden raisins
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 4 teaspoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons port wine
- Salt; to taste
Stir raisins in a saucepan over medium heat until slightly browned. Add butter and sugar. Pour in wine and simmer for 6 to 8 minutes. Stir in olive oil and salt to taste. Set aside.
