Waldorf Salad

The really, truly traditional salad served at the Waldorf Hotel.



  • 3 cups unpeeled diced apple
  • 1 cup California raisins
  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/3 cup low calorie Italian salad dressing
  • Salt; to taste
  • Lettuce; as needed


Combine all ingredients except lettuce and toss lightly. Chill, divide and serve on bed of crisp lettuce.
