The really, truly traditional salad served at the Waldorf Hotel.
- 3 cups unpeeled diced apple
- 1 cup California raisins
- 1 cup sliced celery
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 1/3 cup low calorie Italian salad dressing
- Salt; to taste
- Lettuce; as needed
Combine all ingredients except lettuce and toss lightly. Chill, divide and serve on bed of crisp lettuce.
