Rum Raisin Treasures
Rum-soaked natural and golden raisins garnished with cherries, violets, pieces of ginger and walnuts.
- 1/4 cup rum, warmed
- 1 cup California natural raisins
- 1 cup California golden raisins
- 1/2 cup pistachio nuts
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 cup Powdered sugar
- Red and green candied cherry halves; for garnish
- Candied violets; for garnish
- Candied ginger; for garnish
- Walnuts; for garnish
Pour rum over raisins and nuts. Let stand, stirring occasionally, until rum is absorbed. Process in food processor to coarsely chop. Shape into balls. Roll in powdered sugar to coat. Press candied cherry halves, candied violets, pieces of candied ginger or walnuts into centers, if desired.
