Ingredients

  • 2 Cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 Cup cocoa
  • 3/4 Teaspoon salt
  • 1 Teaspoon teaspoon baking power
  • 1 Cup butter
  • 6 ounces dark chocolate baking bars, chopped
  • 2 Teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 Cups sugar
  • 2 Cups California golden raisins
  • 3/4 Cup ounces chocolate chips

Procedure

Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt together in a bowl; set aside. In small pan over low heat, melt butter with dark chocolate and vanilla until chocolate is melted.

In another bowl, beat eggs; add sugar and beat again. Then, add butter and dark chocolate mixture. Stir in flour mixture, raisins and one-half of chocolate chips. Spread in one 13 x 9 buttered baking pan and sprinkle remaining chips on top. Bake at 350°F for 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool and cut pan 8 X 4 to make 32 squares.

Note: For more interest, use half white and half milk chocolate chips.
